Cosmetic Condition & Finish

Due to continuous storage inside a climate-controlled facility, the factory paint is in exceptional condition with sharp decals. Because it has been enjoyed over its lifetime, there are a few very small, minor nicks in the finish, all of which are clearly highlighted in the close-up photos. Pay close attention to the original paint and graphics as they are very good for a motorcycle of this age.

Recent Service & Maintenance Completed in 2026

The following work was recently completed prior to listing:

• Carburetors: Fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and accurately rebuilt. New Uni-foam air filter.
• Fuel System: The fuel tank interior is clean and rust-free. Sourced and installed a brand new OEM Yamaha factory fuel petcock and new fuel lines.
• Brake System: Front brake calipers completely rebuilt and the hydraulic front system flushed and bled with fresh brake fluid. Rear brakes flushed and bled.
• Tires: Fitted with brand new Bridgestone Battlax BT46 sport performance tires front and rear, with less than 25 miles on them.

Upgrades

Tasteful upgrades common to the high-performance cafe and street styles of the era:

• Exhaust System: Fitted with high-performance aftermarket expansion chambers. *(Please note: the original catalytic factory pipes are not available or included).*
• Lighting: Fitted with premium, factory-style reproduction turn signals sourced directly from HVC Cycle. *(The original stock turn signals are not available or included).*

Honest Disclosures for True Collectors

• Left Side Cover: A small corner of the lower tab on the left side cover has broken off. The side cover still mounts firmly and holds without any issues. Crucially, the small broken tab piece is completely preserved and included in the sale for a future plastic weld or repair.
• Blinker Relay: The turn signals are fully functional and operate, but the flasher relay blinks a bit slower than I believe it should. This could be as simple as cleaning the internal contacts or replacing the standard relay unit.
• State of Tune:  Watch the Video link the bike rips as it should thru red line. But I'm a perfectionist with limited time selling off my long term collection and believe it can be dialed in a bit further. The carbs were manually synced and should be set together with a vacuum gauge. Either way this bike is in exceptional shape and can be thoroughly enjoyed as is. Video is current.

• In-Person Cash Transactions: If paying in cash, the transaction MUST take place entirely inside my local bank lobby. The funds will be verified and deposited directly with the bank teller before the motorcycle, keys, or clear title are handed over.
• Wire Transfer Transactions: If paying via wire transfer, the bike and title will be released immediately once the financial institution confirms the funds have permanently cleared.
